    Hi

Has anyone had the Lidl Prosecco at their wedding - is it good ? There is an offer in Lidl today Treviso Prosecco usually costs €7.99 but the special deal means each bottle works out at €5.30

    Many thanks in advance

    Nuala

Online reviews suggest not. To be used as an addition to cocktails.

    Sounds like muck to me.

I have drank the Lidl prosecco and it is absolutely fine imo. Not top class champagne mind you but nothing wrong with it either imo

I suggest you get a couple of bottles from various places and do a taste test.

Most of the regular supermarkets including the likes of Centre etc do cheap prosecco - check them all out ...

Just so you know it says it is 6bottles per person and after that the bottles are charged at regular price! Just so you know to ask beforehand!

Wife and her family all love the Tesco finest prosseco. Usually 15 euro a bottle but it's 6 bottles for 50 euro at minute.

It's absolutely fine, the bad reviews are more snobbery than anything else. It always performs well in blind tests.

The deal this weekend actually works out at 4.99 per bottle but it's limited to one case per customer so if you want to get enough for your wedding you'd want to hit a *lot* of different stores and I'd say it'll sell out almost immediately. Last week's half-price Amarone was gone before 11am on Saturday.

I don't think it actually is! They had that up in my local store recently, I bought them and at the checkout they argued that prosecco wasn't in the deal. In the end they gave it to me but they took down all the signs straight away. Go quick and get it before someone else does!!

Sainsbury have the 25% off deal when you buy 6 bottles or more. Currently £7.50 per bottle so 6 would be stg £33.75.

I bought the Conegliano Prosecco and champagne for my wedding there and made a serious saving. If you can get to the north I’d consider looking at their website and doing some sums and checking reviews.

OP just remember to factor in a corkage fee. Most hotels will charge this if you supply your own alcohol.

I had it at my wedding, it's the nicest of the cheap proseccos IMO. Is good value outside the offer too.
We had ASDA Shields prosecco too which is very tasty but it kept running out of stock so we had to top up with lidl prosecco!
