Any comeback with a purchase from Adverts?

Hi folks, a couple of weeks ago I bought a couple of items from a seller on Adverts. I paid straight away via PayPal. I didn't mark the payment as 'goods' which I realise now was a massive error. Two weeks on and I haven't received the items. Messaged the vendor last week and she said with the storm etc she didn't get them posted but would post them Monday (last). Still no items and I have messaged the vendor again and received no reply despite the fact that she has been active on Adverts since I sent the message. They still might arrive, but I'm not holding out much hope at this stage. As I understand it, because I just sent money on PayPal without marking it as goods, I have no comeback - is that correct? Is it worth raising a dispute with Adverts? Can they do anything? Thanks in advance.

If you select "Friends and Family" then there is no fee (Seller likes this) but no protection either as you've said.

Many are dissatisfied with Adverts CS when things go wrong. As they're owned by boards' parent company we can't necessarily go further than that.

I had exactly the same problem. I left negative feedback on their profile and Adverts removed it. Never again.

a friends and family payment can be changed to goods payment if you contact paypal and explain this was done in error, you can use webchat but personally i would recommend a phone call, regarding the adverts seller report them to adverts.

How quickly did you contact PayPal to change it? It's over two weeks since I made the payment.

It's outrageous that Adverts removed legitimate negative feedback. Would leave me slow to use them again. Although I concede the PayPal error was my own stupidity.
