Send them the invoice and tell them that you do not have an EORI number.

Is it ok not to have this eori NUM, or do I have to get one?

If you are an end consumer you don't need one.

Sorry what is an 'end' consumer? Just a one-off buyer right?

I also got the same message.

So it's confirmed that EORI details are not necessary?

Somebody who doesnt intend to sell it on (ie a shop).

I just got a txt from DHL with a waybill number saying I owe an extra 56 euro for exice duty and vat,it has a link saying to pay online and that the parcel is being delivered today,I'm about wary of giving cc details on that link, can I pay when it arrives or will they not deliver till it's paid.
Another thing is on the revenue website it says excise duty and handling fees are only added if your package is valued at over 150 euro and mine isnt

You can pay at the door.
You may want to ring them first and find out what they have valued your entire package + delivery at.

For example if the package was €130 and DHL delivery was €22 = €152.
Handling fees (€15) by DHL are always added if it goes to customs.

You don't have to use the link in the txt, you can go to https://www.dhlpayments.ie/ and pay there.

I got it today,I payed the extra 55 online this morning,it was basically vat and handling from DHL,as a matter of interest if I hadn't payed this morn, and then the package arrived and I refused or didn't pay what would happen then?, As the DHL fella approached the door he said there was money to be paid for revenue,I told him I paid it online and he never asked for proof and handed me the parcel, what if I was lieing and never paid it?

If you didn't pay you wouldn't get the package. You can request receipts

Yea but the DHL guy didn't know I had already paid till I told him I did it online,he never asked to see proof, when he gave me the package I asked him did he need to see proof I paid and he said no,I just signed the thing and off he went,
The question is what if I hadn't payed it and just told him I did

I'd imagine the driver would get a bollocking back at the depot for not ringing and checking, and then have it deducted from their bill for the day if they are a subcontractor. Driver probably gets sent back to you to collect it.

Or they come after you like for any unpaid bill, debt collectors and all.

I'd normally pay online and the driver will ask for the reference number, on one occasion they did deliver without the fees paid and then a bill came a few days later, so if you hadn't have paid but said you did the you just would have then gotten the letters rolling in
