Saw that energia increasing prices at start December - just outside the 14 day cooling off period - and not allowed to cancel - hardly seems fair when they moving the goalposts!

Only after changing over to them a month ago for the 30% discount per unit.

They're changing it for everyone, not just you. You can get fixed rates for contract terms but they're usually very high
