Be careful if buying from tomtop, dire customer services and might not ship what they say they will in the description. For me it’s an avoid

I've ordered a few bits from there with no more or less issue than all the other Chinese stuff sites. Slow delivery, iffy quality, in amongst the genuine good stuff, the usual. Don't see why they should be singled out for banning, the dash cam thread was mix of some people happy with their cheap cam, some not.

It’s more a case of false representation and misleading and false advertising by them. They’ll advertise x and you might just get y, roll the dice and take your chances with them

Can't argue with that, but think your advice is apt for all/most Chinese electronic sites. Take things they say with a pinch of of salt. I would be having a pause for thought before buying from tomtop, but banning seems pointless, in the same way it was with the other sites. Not bothered either way though

It's more of a case of you get what you pay for, I've ordered 6 DJI drones from them, all came no bother, ordered another few things, all came as described.
I've spent about €2500 with them and have nothing but good experiences.

I think I'll take my chances with them.

False, i didn’t get what I paid for, that’s the point, and when they accepted their mistake they put up a front in saying “tough ****”. anyway, buy if you like, but I won’t ever again. Once bitten twice shy

I have had few issues with them in the past and when i had, they have been sorted for me within a few days.
I get that the Dashcam was crap, but if you sent them a video of it not working, they will refund you.
If you tell them that you do not like it, they will offer a partial refund or send it back for a full refund.
They have also acknowledged that it was a mistake in the description, and that the person who was in charge at the time has since been sacked.
It was also a deal that had a lot of buyers worldwide, so they were or are on the backfoot trying to get everybody sorted, which might explain the delays.

I am not defending them, but they are usually very good to sort any errors. In the past they have for me anyway, they dropped the ball on this one. I do not think it is a reason to go all out and talk about a ban etc.
