BTEA confusion

So I am in college, have been recieving my BTEA since September. I just got a letter on the 25th telling me I need to be means tested for a Jobseekers Claim and it needs to be filled in and sent back to them within 7 days.

    1. I am not on Jobseekers, I am on BTEA
    2. I literally only was given today and tomorrow to be able to get these forms into them by, yet I am in fulltime education so I am not able to get to them at all
    3. BTEA is not means tested, as says their website

So I filled out the forms, I printed off my bank statements and highlighted every single BTEA payment I have received so far, I wrote a letter explaining that I am on BTEA and don't understand why I am getting this letter...

But the only day I now have off is Monday... the 30th. Which is apparently a bank holiday so The Social won't be open.

    What do I do?
Do I ignore this clear mistake, even though their letter threatens to cut off my "jobseekers allowances/benefit" if I don't get them in?
Do I attempt to get the forms into them as soon as I can and pray they didn't cut off my payments?

I tried calling them to clear it up and the receptionist just told me to fill the forms and send it back, said that everyone needs to be means tested yet their website clearly states that BTEA is not means tested.

I dunno. My head is wrecked and I had exams today and more tomorrow.
They just keep making my life difficult.

Apparently, the time spent on BTEA doesn't count as a break in your jobseeker's claim,
but it does on some other schemes. That's why you have gotten the letter, most likely.

I am assuming that you are currently on jobseekers benefit and have been approved for BTEA. When your benefit claim exhausts then you will be means tested for Jobseeker’s Allowance. If it’s JA that you are on and commence any employment even whilst having been approved for btea then any income will be means assessed.

No, I am in college as stated in my first sentence and have been recieving BTEA since September.
I am in fulltime education and am not working.

What eastbono is telling you is that your entitlement to BTEA based on your PRSI contributions is coming to an end, so you will now be assessed based on your financial "need".
The dept will means test you.
