    Hi,
I live in Westmeath and my well got infected a few months ago I've tried everything to try get it back right with no luck, so was wondering what I need to do to get connected to the mains water supply and how long it might take and likely cost?
I live in a rural area but my next door neighbour is connected to the mains so hopefully it wouldn't be too big of a job to get connected.
I've tried applying for a new connection online but it keeps asking me to pin the site location on a map of Dublin, it doesn't allow me to navigate to Westmeath.
    Many Thanks

    Hi Damofto,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

The only way to have a quote would be to apply for a new connection. The area engineer would then go out and assess the area. We would only know the proposed quote once the area engineer had made their assessment. Please allow 6-8 weeks for the process to be completed.

If you have difficulties with completing the online application, you can also download the form and return it to us via email at newconnections@water.ie or post it to us at:

    Irish Water
    P.O. Box 860,
    South City Delivery Office,
    Cork City,
    Cork.

Once the application is received, we will process your application which will be reviewed by our technical team for assessment and will then go through the costing process. When the calculations have been completed an Offer Letter will be issued to yourself, along with any specific terms and conditions. You would also be issued with an agreement letter, which needs to be signed and returned to us with the reference number provided. However, we would be unable to provide a quotation at this stage.

We hope this helps and if you have any other queries, please feel free to get in touch.

    Kind regards,
    Agata
