issue with timber frame shed leakage

    Hi folks,
We are having an issue with newly built timber frame shed. The frame/walls are standing on the concrete base shiplap cladding outside. Our problem is when it's raining the water leakage appears on the floor along the walls. Somebody suggested to add insulation foam from inside as a solution, but I think it is won't work because the water needs to be stopped outside to prevent water reaching the timber frame otherwise it will rot. What do you think guys?

Is the cladding touching the ground where the cladding can be sucking water up at the back and into the frame.
Is there a large gap between the cladding and the frame where rain can splash?

    Hi,

Been like you and learned from my mistake.
In the below photo, the white and blue plastic foil is set so that it will deter water from coming inside the structure.
Any dropps will go off the timber cladding on to the sheet then flow freely down in to ground.
    Its called DPC i think.

    At least...thats the plan ! :)

In op diagram it's near impossible to keep water out as the concrete base protrudes past the timber frame, the concrete base should off been a small bit smaller than TImber frame and ship lap go down past concrete to seal the joint.

Pull the bottom strip of timber off and fix a metal flashing that hangs below the concrete base, then refit the timber over the flashing.
Not easy but the only way you will make sure the water doesn't run into the shed under the soleplate.
If it is left the soleplate will rot pretty quickly.
