Hopefully I might get some much needed advice from here.

Recently there was an article in the national newspapers regarding a local group of which my brother WAS involved with. The article mentioned that the individual named was under the infuence of this alternative group and the long story is he was alledgely screwed out of 300k.

Now this is where I panicked. My brother has done very well in business over the years and would be well known. A couple of years ago he went though a messy seperation and went through hell. He would go to this said group every week to meditate and yoga. a few trips abroad to what were called retreats. he at the time was open enough about the huge costs of these retreats and courses (in two years he has spent 16k alone on it).

So upon reading this article we met up and the long and short of it he has also been duped into handing over approx 50k to assist with the building of some temple or such. These transactions were insisted on cash. He was also coerced into taking of of this groupo on as an employee also. Upon breaking down and telling me this (he has since left this group) and explained how this "healer" is preying on vunerable people and always on the wealthier side.

I took him to the garda to report this but they are saying they have not sone anyhting illegal (im led to believe there has been other complaints) , I suggested we go to my solicitor as suggested would be best according to the garda. Guess what! my solicitor is involved with this group. Its a smallish town I live in.

Im just sick to see my brother left a broken man, any advise on what to do?
