    I activated my account but I am not able to start a thread on a topic of my choice?
    The "New Thread" only comes up on the help forum.

    Welcome to Boards. Which forum are you trying to post a new thread in? The New Thread button should be available once you're logged in and browsing on an individual forum (it's important to note that it won't be available on the home page, for example).

    There is a guide available here, which covers the various platforms. And we have a Test forum here where you can get to grips with the various functions available on Boards and in the editor.
