Hi all.. I use radio 5 live on my tv, talksport and some of the other BBC channels quiet a good bit to listen to premier league matches and the likes .. Since Storm Ophelia last week the channels have not been working , im wondering has anyone else had the same problem. Was there damage done to a mast or what could be the problem.. i was messing about for a few minutes tryin to retune earlier but im a hopeless case at this kind of thing and left it so..
If i cant solve it is there a special type of radio that i could get that would pick up these channels.. TIA

I presume it's a Sat dish alignment problem?

I have 'Free to Air' > same dish, same satellite 'Astra', and my BBC radio signal is fine here in South Dublin ........

Unless the problem is with your provider?

The OP says 'Just a Saorview Box', no mention of satellite, so presume the OP is in an area that was receiving the terrestrial (not Satellite) FREEVIEW from Northern Ireland or Wales, which of course carries radio channels too. So the rooftop aerial receiving it must have moved/been damaged in the wind.

    You could try MW/AM :
    BBC R5 Live: 909 or 693 kHz
    Talksport : 1089 or 1053

And DAB unlikely to be a runner except a few places very close to the NI border

Havent got round to sorting this out yet , just noticed this evening that my ITV channels arent working either.. So u reckon its just a matter of adjusting my Sat dish? Are they simple enough to adjust or should i get someone to look at it , it very easy for me to get up to it so i might chance adjusting it myself tomorrow

On my remote there is a button marked "info" and pressing this brings up a tone. You can use this to adjust the dish. The higher the tone the better.
