    Hi All,
    I'm currently doing research on the different types of contracts currently in use in the construction industry in Ireland. Does anyone know if there's some kind of dummies guide to all the contracts that will help me? It's in broad terms, not in relation to a project, but I want to learn, in particular the RIAI and GCCC inside out, while touching on the other contracts. Also, does anyone have an idea of any other contracts other than those in the title that I should be looking into.

    Remember that GCCC is actually eleven different forms of contract under one heading. Each one is quite different because it is designed for a different purpose.

    The Law Society have a form of contract. FIDIC is another contract type - although I haven't any experience with it.

    If you want some historical context there's the GDLA form and the ICE form too! Mention them in your literature review ;)
