Solo Skydive

    Hey,

I'm looking to complete a solo skydive in Ireland but I can only seem to come across tandem skydives with a qualified skydiving instructor

I'd also like to do it for charity to help out if the skydiving company allows it :)

I'm aware that a lot of extra training would be required in order to complete a solo skydive, I'm prepared to complete any training required to skydive on my own

If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be a great help.

    Cheers

    Wrong forum, but...

I don't think you'd be allowed do your first skydive solo. Parachute jump with static line, yes (I did one in Offally years ago) but not an actual skydive.

The Irish parachute club should be able to give you all the information you need.

Except how you jumping out of a plane by yourself helps those in need. Always felt doing those kind of things for charity was a bit self-serving.

    But yea, Irish parachute club.

It costs an awful lot of money, and would take a lot of time in training. If you genuinely want to do something for charity you'd be better just donating the time and money directly.

Anyway, as mentioned this is not a Personal Issue, so thread locked.
