I've been working with my employer for a year next January am I entitled to a raise in my salary ? I gross €600 per 40 hours A week , I feel I should be getting more for my skills and what I contribute to my employers business .My Job is enjoyable ,no stress or headaches just get each job done , Am I been realistic or should I be happy to have full time employment and also with the salary scale I'm on as from what I hear from other people in my trades are on more in city's etc .we been out of a long recession and most people are now working again ?

    Hi festo
It all depends on a few things
    1. Are you using your own power tools
    2. Are you using your own van to drive too different job sites
    3. Are you training apprentices
    4. Over 10 years experience as qualified
    5. Location

If you answered yes too 1-4 and ye based in Dublin then yes you should be earning more money.
I'm qualified 11 years and take home 500 a week 8-5 mon-fri 1hr break each day. Live in the county the boss collects me at the door so no travel costs. I don't use any of my power tools so no tool maintenance. Hope this helps youðŸ‘
