I have an issue with our cooker extraction fan... basically we have a guest room just above the kitchen and there is a pipe running up a wall there which is the extraction from the oven.. so the smell goes into that bedroom whenever we are cooking...

What can I do about this? I don't know who I can contact!?

Is your kitchen against an outside wall? Where does the extractor pipe terminate?

Kitchen is towards the back of the house and we are in a semi D house which is adjoining the wall of the kitchen & that upstairs bedroom.

Pipe is going up through the roof

that's an unusual set up. is there a pipe going up through the room upstairs. how did they vent through the roof. is it a tile or slate integrated vent

your best bet is to drill out the wall and vent straight out

Is the back of the extractor fan housing mounted on an external wall or not? Unclear from your description.
