Question about findapart.ie and sites like it

I have a question for people who have used sites like findapart.ie and others. Obviously you go to these sites when you damage a door or bumper or whatever; you search the site and if you find the part you buy it. However do you then take it to a crash repair garage and ask them to put it on for you? Because that is not usually the way garages work; they supply the part themselves, they don't allow the customer to source the part.
Or are the people using these sites mechanics who just use it to buy parts?
I damaged my rear bumper and was quoted €700 to repair it. I found the same bumper on findapart.ie (from the same make of car and also the same colour).
There is a slight scratch on it but no point in me buying it unless somebody will spray paint it and put it on for me.

I would only source parts myself if I plan on fitting them myself.

It'll be very difficult to get a panel beater to fit a used bumper you sourced yourself, it's also unlikely to save you very much as the bumper part itself is only a relatively minor cost in terms of the job as a whole.

Any mechanic I've gone to only charges cost for parts, and generally gets them cheaper than I ever could. Only source myself if I'm doing my own work.

    Cheers, that's what I thought.
