Just wanted to see if I could get some information on pet surrending in a non kill facility ? It’s for a friend of mine who can no longer manage the dog.
Any information would be gratefully received.

Hi Op, rescues cannot be publicly named here in API but if you post your location some posters may be able to PM you with suggestions. We also have a rehoming thread which you will find somewhere in the latest few pages of the forum.

Depends on the way he “can no longer manage” the dog eg of the dog has aggression or a bite history even the no kill rescues might not touch the dog.. found that out for myself a couple of years ago

you want to elaborate a bit more - breed, age, sex, training? There are many groups on FB who specify in rehoming a certain breed. Other than that - except for 1 irish pound, non of them are no kill.As a surrender, he/she can be killed the moment you leave. If the dog is black, a restricted breed or a greyhound/lurcher they will stand little to no chance.
