Ticking in heating system when boiler is on.

So there's this bloody annoying metronomic ticking somewhere in the heating system when the heating comes on. It stops once the boiler goes off.

House is not new, no structural works done recently and the boiler is only about 10 months old and a system flush was done at the time of installation.

I'm not 100% sure how long it's been like this as it was rarely on over the summer so there's the possibility it's only a new feature, or the heating just wasn't on long enough to notice

I thought I had the source narrowed down to 1 of 3 radiators but it still happens after they've been bled. I think now it may be from somewhere in the hotpress which has a motorised valve separating the water and heating, a cylinder and expansion tank along with a pump for the showers.

I'm at the point where I'd be happy to not have the heating on in the morning as the noise wakes and drives me mad as it seems to resonate through 2 radiators up stairs and 1 downstairs, they're probably sequential to each other.

Any suggestions to help save my sanity?
