Lads can anyone recommend Boxer shorts Fabric that wouldn't make general area sweaty and knock on, a bit smelly, I shower every day but lately I've noticed that me boxers are stinking when I change them, was thinking it might be something to do with the fabric perhaps, to be honest I only buy cheap Penneys Boxers, would better quality one's be any better, or is it just a general bloke thing, getting a bit paranoid about it.

    What material?

Wear cotton/mostly cotton (allowing for elastane etc) and if its still smelling, something's wrong with you, not the jocks.

If you are changing them daily and have good hygiene (showering daily would suggest you do) then perhaps you have some kind of fungal infection? Your keks should not reek after only 24 hours.

Buy (or have made) some boxers in pure cotton or linen. This can be boiled, which was how things were washed in the Olden Daze. Kills every germ and fungus.

It sounds to me like maybe your washing machine isn't killing all the yeast/fungus/bacteria that build up in clothing. Try running a boil wash, empty, to cleanse the machine and then turn up the temperature settings when washing underwear.

Maybe you are not 'shakin it off' enough after peeing - thatll do the trick alright. Try a little wad of toilet paper -ok you'll have to go into one of the stalls - af the end of each visit to the toilet stuffed down your fronts, change that wad every second time, if like me you drink a lot of tea/coffee and pee a lot. If that solves the problem then you are either a bit leaky, more a problem of age, pelvic floor muscle or its the shaking defixcit

You could try a using a mildly medicated talcum powder. It's only a couple of quid in boots. It has some antibacterial properties and will reduce any smells coming from your crotch.

As others have said it could be a bit of leaky urine which is a bit different. It seems to be something that lots of fellas experience but isn't really talked about. I see ads for pads that go down your jocks in public toilets, so it must be more widespread than you'd think.

I'd say try the talc and that will tell you whether it's general crotch funk or leaky urine.

Are you pulling back your foreskin while showering?

Nobody asked what level of activity he gets up to on a day to day basis. If he rides his bike to work or walks 5k during lunch that might be something to do with it. Rather than the boxers you might consider what else you're wearing such as skinny jeans or anything else that hampers breathability down there.

Sorry only getting back to this now, thanks for suggestions, I do walk a fair bit but not really at a pace that would have me sweating too much, but didn't think of that, I'll try the talc around the fella's for a while and see if it makes a difference, I'll also go and get some 100% Cotton Boxers,.

    Again thanks for the suggestions

One option is dri-fit boxers from the likes of Nike or Under Armour. They are not cheap, but they last and keep you dry. If you run in a pair of them, they will be dry pretty quickly. Whereas cotton will be damp for the day
