    What would you recommend?

    What would you recommend?

    Maybe some more info?

What sort of miles will you be doing?
Is it just you or a family car?
Do you need a lot of space?

A small car, insurance isn't an issue, either is tax.
Would you get these cars for 3-6k?

Hybrid jazz are a cracking car.

Kia ceed? Hyundai i30. Good cars but dont have a big dollar badge on them

Another vote for the Jazz, hybrid if possible, if not, the 1.3 is still quite reasonable on fuel.

Yeah, they came out in the uk in 2011. 1.3 CVT like an FD Civic hybrid would have.

I would look at the Kia Rio and Ford Fiesta if I was you.

    Similar to this

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/ford-fiesta-2011/16668021

Insurers are looking for any excuse not to give fair quotes and a Japanese import jazz/fit is too much of a risk in that respect.

Hybrid has a battery that assists the engine when needed and charges up when not. You just drive it like any automatic.

You could potentially get electric car, Nissan Leaf, a few selling for under 6k. Circa 2011/12.

It will be low insurance and tax.

You could look at Renault Zoe battery rental. You can pick them up cheaper but then have a monthly cost based on the amount of mileage you do. The cost does mean if you have any issue with battery then Renault will replace.

    Just an idea.....
