Every time I comment in a thread it gOes into my followed threads tab. I'm getting tired of manually unfollowing threads. Is there a way to stop this happening by default?

You can turn off the default thread subscription in your user CP:

A small caveat, this isn't retroactively applied to already subscribed threads. You'll need to unsub from those separately.
