Hi, I have 3 F papers to sit and am hoping to start studying next month for March exams as I am probably too late to sit any in December.

How do the 3 paper compare in terms of difficulty, if I was to do together which 2 would be best and also it would be good if some one could recommend lecturers too.

    Thanks

    Hi,

You are probably right holding off until March. December exams are only 5 and a half weeks away.

Are you planning on doing all 3 self study? If so you probably have bought off more than you can chew.

F5 - Performance Mgt was the toughest F I sat. Took 3 attempts and is so detailed that it requires a lot of work and understanding. The course is quite large too.

F7 - Financial Reporting is a lot of work but is a great foundation for other subjects as it tests your understanding of debits and credits. The paper itself is reasonably predictable in what they can ask you.

F8 - Audit and Assurance is all theory. Having worked in Audit I found that helpful but this material just needs to be learnt off and then apply to scenarios in questions.

Just keep doing past paper questions once you have gone through teh material. And time yourself doing questions. No point being able to a 20 mark question in 45 min when you only have 36 min to do it in the exam.

I would suggest doing F8 and F7 together as F5 on its own would give you the best chance of passing it first time.

Like everything, they are all tough but doable. Just requires a lot of work and discipline.

I think all F papers are moving to Computer Based Exams in the new year as well.

I'm thinking of doing F5 self study, I found F2 ok and based first time. Is it possible to do in 10 weeks? I'll be doing the CBE.

After F5, doing F6 and F9 together. thoughts??
