Similar to the Argos deal, GameStop have a promotion at present for a white 1TB PS4 Pro, Destiny 2, Fifa 18 and Gran Turismo Sport for €440.

    https://www.gamestop.ie/Bundle/Configure/1778

Some may prefer GameStop due to the ability to trade in. The guy in store in Wilton also helpfully pointed out that if you’re a level 3 loyalty card customer you get 10% more on trade ins, so I upgraded to that for €16.99.

I traded in my old PS4 500GB (original, not slim, boxed with accessories) which got me €159.50 (€145 + 10%) and some old games (if you trade in 6 you get another €20 of store credit on top of the trade in price). Straight away I traded in Gran Turismo for €55 (€50 + 10%) and Destiny 2 for €46.20 (€42 +10%).

So basically the console with FIFA cost me €339 when the two new games were traded in, before applying the trade in value of my old PS4 and the games. On top of that when buy a console you can buy one of a select number of games for €39.99, so I took NBA 2K18, which seems to normally go for around €60-70.

The deal may not be for everyone but the games available and the trade ins suited me. Hopefully might be of some use to someone.

Thanks for this op, was gonna pull the trigger on the argos deal this evening but this gamestop offer is far superior putting all the elements in play you mentioned.

Interesting. I have a Xbox One I might trade in against it and I'd trade in 2 of those games easily (Fifa and GT).

He just plugged mine in, checked the controller and connected a little device that looked like a tablet to it. I guess that was to check the wifi/Ethernet but I couldn’t really see what he was up to clearly.

As to trade in value, no idea, I’m afraid.

They checked mine to make sure it was working, had it for about 20 minutes.
On 3rd October they were giving €200, but it was dropping every day due to the units they were getting traded in. I had asked 2 days before about the deal and it was 210, when I went in it had dropped €10.

Thanks just wondering if it would be cheaper to get this looked at and repaired than buying a new one (unless I could trade it in )
Anyone any clue about this safety mode ? It's not giving him any menu options (won't let him do update with USB & says cannot start ps4 ,connect controller which it already is )

Report this post and ask the mod to transfer it to the playstation forum for you.
