Bringing Power to Shed

Wondering if somebody could point in the right direction about the best way to bring power to my shed? Looking to put a double socket in it.

See attached sketch of house layout. Red box is fuse box.
Burying cable could be very difficult.. back yard slabbed out, would need to use a conduit, surface mount.

Stand alone PV works pretty well for sheds if you spec it right. You can wire most of it yourself too.

One option would be to use steel conduit as you say, another would be to clip an SWA around the wall at a sensible hight. It may be possible to feed this socket from an existing socket circuit by drilling though a socket mounted on an outside wall. Obviously the would have to be assessed and this work should only be done by a competent person.

How far is the shed from the back of the house?

Shed is approx 10m from back of house

Most likely a 3 x 2.5 mm sq. SWA will be sufficient, obviously this would need to be checked.

    Id have to see it.

1)Well you could come out by the C.U along the gable end wall towards the shed (clipped or containment ).

2)Or from the C.U go up in trunking head towards the attic and out at the eves if possible.

Then from the house to the shed, you really have 1 option only, a stay wire not the best looking. Otherwise you will have to cut the slabs + concrete for a trench.

I would recommend putting a small C.U in the shed it will come in very handy (lights so on..)
