I picked up two of them yesterday morning (have read quite a few already), according to tracker they've never been this cheap.

nice one lads. I gave a few of these a go when I was a good bit younger but only managed to get the whole way through The Player of Games which was great. Any recommendations for which ones are top of the bunch? (Though I plan to read all eventually)

Consider Phlebas, State of the Art, and Inversions (1, 4 and 6) weren't as good as the others imo, Matter (8) is good, Player of Games and Surface Detail (2, 9) are the best ones, the other 4 are very good

I'd put the 'full' Culture novels in this order:

1.Use of Weapons
2.Excession
3.Player of Games
4.Consider Phelbas
5.Surface Detail
6.Matter
7.Look to Windward
8.Hydrogen Sonata


They're all great but the top 4 are essential.
