Had a big tree come down yesterday in the storm, luckily it didnt fall towards the house but just wondering would house insurance cover the cost of removal of the tree ? Im with Bank of Ireland house insurance. Might be a silly question but just wondering
    Thanks

Sorry, no it doesn't. Any damaged to the house caused by the tree would have been though

Is it just the costs of removing the tree that would be excluded ?

Was the tree on your land or state/councils?
If its not your tree then the "owner" will have to pay to have it removed
