So Sue Me having a sale on her products today. Her Insta story snap says "Hurricane Ophelia have you stuck inside?
30% OFF today to help ride out the storm", followed by a discount code. Is this not in terrible taste?

I wouldn't really think so. It's no worse say, than people shopping from the sofa on Christmas Day evening. There are a lot of people at home today looking for something to do, so why not get them to buy your products. I bet you anything that online sales are up in general today.

    I don't think so.

Carrig donn and I clothing have a sale today related to the storm. No one is out shopping as they are closed so makes sense to go online.

A lot of outrage at the storms and practices being in bad taste (MUF and her snaps). I honestly think people just want to have a moan at anything these days

No I don't think so. I'm sure many retailers have done the same thing. I know one retailer, who's mainly bricks n mortar, put up on social media that the store had to close for safety, apologies for any inconvenience and here's a code for the online store valid for 24 hours.
A few bloggers had up that it was a day for the online shopping. It felt like Christmas Day nearly.

I wouldn't see a problem with it only for the fact that all her snaps were of her sunning herself in Monaco living the highlife, not paying any regard to the situation at home only to cash in on it.
Just thought it was in poor taste the way she went about it. The discount code I don't have a problem with, but it came across like she was trying to take advantage of the situation while drinking cocktails on holidays while we were all in the sh*t here.

Wouldn't be her biggest fan but no wouldn't say this was. Harvey Norman were offering free shipping until midnight on Monday as they were closed all day.
