Ardmore is about 20 minutes drive from Dungarvan and you could run the Waterford greenway from there if you didn't mind an out and back.

Cool thanks. Didn't know I could run on it. That's a plan

You sure can, and the scenery is great. Plenty signposts in the town for it but if you park at the Clonea car park you avoid the town.

I ran on it a couple of times during the Summer there, it was lovely, great surface, lovely views and no cars, perfect :)

I was there for a weekend a couple of months ago. The local roads are perfectly suitable for running as long as you don't mind hills :) and very quiet.

I didn't run far on either day because I had only just restarted training but could easily have extended the runs.

I find the local roads very narrow and a lot of bends. Going from memory last August.
Will see on the day, weather etc, could use the hotel gym.

Careful with the greenway... its closed at the moment due to storm damage from fallen trees.

Consider heading into Youghal (about 15k) and run out the beach until you go any further, and then back.... probably around 6 or 7 miles round trip. Couple of savage hills there too in and around the town if you want to do some hill work.

So did my run on the greenway. Drove to dungarvan and did 5 miles out and back. Nice route and pretty busy.
