VW Diesel Emissions Recall

Hi All, this is my first post. Does anyone have feedback who has had their Diesel engine recalled by VW, Seat or Skoda?

I drive a Seat Leon and they have written to me 3 times now asking me to book in so that I can have ‘technical measures implemented’.

I drive a lot and would be worried that any modifications will effect my fuel consumption. Does anyone have experience of getting the upgrade done and have either positive or negative things to say about it?

    Would really appreciate any feedback

    Dave

Well, it wont make your car more powerful or fuel efficient however if it does anything re improving certain emissions, it may well make your car less powerful or less less driveable or less efficient.
There is no upside for owners.

There’s a thread on the main forum where lots of people have had issues. I wouldn’t let them near it.

Thanks Mickdw, I didn’t think it would improve it, more so worried that it would decrease the efficiency

Thanks Colm, I reckoned this must have been discussed already but couldn’t find it. Confirms my worst fears. I’ll be staying well away
