Virgin Media Hub 3.0 Port forwarding Issues

    Guys,

Just got security cameras installed and all up and running and accessible through the app on the local network.

But I cannot get access over cellular connection.

My ports are coming up as blocked when I check them through a port checker even though VM insist that they should open automatically when I switched from ipv6 to ipv4.

Has anyone come across this before?

    Thanks.

Nah, you need to add the relevant rules yourself.

I’ve done that. Added the rules in the port forwarding tab of the router but they are still closed.

I can’t gain access through the app over 4G / Cellular.
And if I use a check my port took, they come up as closed.

    1. Is DSLite definitely off?
    2. Has the camera got a static LOCAL address
    3. Are you forwarding to the correct address

If all of these are correct and the cameras are on then Shields UP on GRC will show it, otherwise something isn't right.

I’ll check that tomorrow with the installer. He’s due back tomorrow.
They are working on the local. Rework just not accessible from external.

My IP address with VM has been static for as long as I can remember and hasn’t changed in my memory.

The camera NVR has a static IP address within the network I think.
