So just in the last day or two I've gotten a engine overtemp alarm. The first happened shortly after starting... car had been off for 13 hours. It occurred again while on motorway this time car going into limp mode. I accessed the obc hidden menu for the ktmp mom temp which was at 115c when accessed. Alarm had gone at this stage. The following day after another 12 hours stopped the dial read 117c.

    Any ideas folks? Sensor?

Could be.... Is coolant Ok? (looks normal) and/or any sign of water in oil (milky white inside oil filler cap) what ever get checked out asap.... if overheating may cause more damage...

sounds like faulty temp sensor if its reading 117c after being off for 12 hours.
