As title says I'm looking for a sensor which will switch power to the light only when dark and PIR is triggered. Is such a sensor available?

PIRs have a lux setting on them. Should be no need for a separate photocell.

Yep they pretty much all do this.
If you wanted to use the sensor for a task that needed to switch day and night, you just adjust the light sensor all the way up / down.

Beware of cheap and nasty PIRs. False economy, they will drive you nuts.
I use Stinel, not only do they work very well but they have a 5 year warranty.

....and yes they cost more :)
