pipes clicking sound

    anyone have an idea how to quieten pipes?
    if shower upstairs run late at night, a very loud clicky tapping sound can be heard under, sounds maybe likee air in system? how to sort it?

    Metal expanding, its the pipes.

    Major job to re wrap them where they cross timber joists.

    Hiya, thanks, no I'm sure it must be air in system or something it's only when the shower runs late at night surely the pipes'd be expanding at other times? I remember doing the whole hose to the shower dealy in our old house for a tank thing , cheers
