    hey all
    i have being giving DA of my GP for a year , i was just wondering do i have to keep contact with the dole office as i dont want a phone call asking what i have being doing , i know i am of sick from work but i am getting a little bit paranoid just sitting around.

    I dont quite understand your question.

    You say our GP has given you DA for a year? Does this mean youve sent off DA forms? (It can take 12+ months to even be awarded DA, if you are on another social welfare payment, especially jobseekers, you do have to inform them you have applied for DA, and they may leave you alone but you still have to correspond with them when they request it)
    You may also have to swap to a supplementary welfare payment via the social welfare officer as they may deem you no longer eligible for jobseekers if youve been declared unfit for work
