I hope I'm putting this in the right place but if not please feel free to move to the appropriate forum.
I am currently unemployed and have just started claiming maternity benefit because I had some work at the right time and have all the contributions required. My husband just received an amended tax credit cert and his rate band is being decreased at 20% to the tune of €12200 which is exactly double what I will receive over the course of mb. Is this correct? Why double the figure?
