    A 307 and not a 308?
The 308 came out in 2008.

    1.6 or 2.0?

    Nope 307 for sure 1.6 diesel car/van

Ok, well that's why they're rare anyway.

FYI, they registered 1 307 car in 2010, and 9 vans.

Ah well i like different, rare is even better, also has very low milage yippee!

They are regarded as junk though. Tread carefully.

Oh dear can you expand on the "regarded as junk" bit or is that a generalisation of all 307

They weren't really a great car when they were new. They suffered from typical associated French electrical problems at the time. The 1.6 HDi engine doesn't have a reputation for reliability, it's patchy at best. Being a 307 then it's probably got the older version of the 1.6 HDi in either 90bhp or 110bhp which are less reliable than the newer 95bhp/115bhp versions found in thes 308. They are a gamble in my view.

I had a 1.4 hdi in 2002 and clocked up well over 100k miles with zero problems. It was a very comfortable and spacious motor also.

The 1.4 was replaced by the 1.6 though and isn’t as good.

I have a 2007 307 Sw and it is a a brilliant motor 1.6 diesel, never had a problem, yes the electrics can be a bit manic every now and again but to be honest it's usually caused by a need to replace the lights arm on the steering rather than trying to find a wire short somewhere, also had that problem with my Citreon van as it got older
