Public Services Card

So I recently had a baby and to register her I must have a photo I.D. This is a problem since I don't have any. The registrar suggested that I apply for a Public Services Card. I did have a P.S.C two years ago as I applied for a social welfare payment. I happened to get a job around that time so I didn't need the welfare payment. Since I didn't need the card any longer, I didn't have it activated and a year or so later I lost it. I'm wondering do I need to repeat the process of applying for a P.S.C or will they just send out another copy of my old P.S.C if I tell them that I lost it?
