    Just to see what opinions are with turnout rugs - full neck or detachable necks.

    As far as I'm concern detachable necks are better as it gives you the option.
    If it's pouring rain they need the neck, if it is just cold or just damp they don't. I have one full neck that I actually use very rarely, all the others are detachable. I have also noticed that my horse is less comfortable with the full neck when grazing, probably because they are tighter than the detachable. Also had one of the other horses having a go at pulling the straps.. I'd rather have to replace the neck than the whole rug!
