    Single dad of 2 kids , so every second weekend i get out as i don’t have the kids , but all my old mates are tied up or married or live further away etc

    Is their a diff app than “ meetup “ to try meet new people ?

    Would you join a band or group guitar lessons?
    A friend of mine did the latter and has met many guitar heads through it. He's into jazz guitar

    Go to well attended open mics. Lots of people go on their own because they like performing but their friends aren't going to watch them every week. People are easy to talk to because they are drunk.
