Wife returning to work one day a week, how will this affect my taxation?

I work full time within a short walk from my home. I get paid €400, and am taxed €18 a week.

I'm married and have two children.

My wife is looking to return to work just one day a week and she would be earning €90.

How would this additional €90 affect my income? I don't understand tax. And I am wondering if my wife returns to work, would I be getting taxed more and would that leave us no better off? There is nothing significant to our life's, for example we don't claim any disability or cater payments.

I have read up on citizens info and even revenue. But I don't understand it.

Any help would be significantly appreciated, and thank you for reading regardless.

I would ring revenue or go into them. Generally very good at explaining.

Why on earth are you not claiming family income supplement?

She has her own PAYE tax credit of 1650, so she can earn 1650 * 5 = 8250 tax fee pa.

    That's 158 pw approx.

    So no effect on you.
