DNA tests--how popular in Ireland?

I finally broke down and took a DNA test thru Ancestry.com tho I have been very dubious about the test for genealogical purposes. No surprise, I am very Irish.

I had not thought about cousins but, seeing the results, I thought it would be great to find cousins in Ireland. They would likely be 4th or beyond as it was my great-greats who emigrated. No luck so far as most people do not have attached trees where I might recognize surnames etc. I have found cousins in Ireland via records and am sure there are many more.

So my question is this: What is your guess about the percentage of people in Ireland doing genealogy who are taking DNA tests--and Ancestry's in particular?
    Failed to load the poll.
