Hi

Expecting bit of piss taking on this subject but on a serious not has anyone ever had to have dilation done?

I have to get this done soon and I am sh***ing myself, sick with worry.. finding it hard to find information about this when I google it.

I will be a sleep when this is done so I am not worried about the actual operation but with recovery I have seen some posts online grown men saying the burning pain when urinating after is the worse they have ever felt and grown men were screaming, then other posts said its a mild burning pain like a minor irritation.. hoping someome whos been through it could give me there experience so I have realistic expectations.

Also will I be wearing a catheter afterwards?.. the doctor didnt say anything about this but I have seen some stuff online saying thats the case.

I am having this procedure done because of a urethal stricture, at the moment it is not affecting my life that much.. my urine sprays and double streams, so I sit, no big deal I can handle that if I was to back out of this procedure can I just carry on the way I am or is it something thats likely to get worse and cause more problems down the line?... I know with this last question I cant really take any of the answers as medical advice Id just like to hear peoples opinions based on their experiences.
