Electricity & Gas contract

    If I have a 12 month contract with an electricity or gas supplier, will I be penalised when moving rented accommodation during the contract?
    Or can I continue the same contract without penalty in a different address?

    You can take your contract with you without any penalty, but many companies will make you sign up to a new 12 month contract when you move, at least that’s been my experience.

    You’ll only be penalised if you cancel the contract completely.
