I haven't seen the movie yet so please, no spoilers other then what some idiot revealed to me.

So a very reputable Youtube channel who usually labels their spoiler reviews as "spoiler review" (as you do) decided this wasn't a spoiler as it happens really early in the movie apparently

    Spoiler warning!
    K is a replicant

I could have punched my phone when I heard this .

For anyone who has seen the movie, how much does this ruin the movie as a whole ?, I still haven't watched Fight Club or 6th sense to this day because I know what the big twists are in those films, but Bladerunner is one of my all time top 3 fav movies ever :(.

    Thanks in advance

You need to relax. Nobody has given away anything.
We are told straight out of the blocks that K is a replicant.
    Absolutley zero spoilers there.

I had avoided trailers but the Graham Norton show spoiled that for me when they showed a clip

I saw that episode but never thought of the spoiler above.

I can guarantee you that this isn't slightly a 'spoiler', and it's revealed in the very early stages of the film. In fact, there's not a whole lot that can be spoiled about the film as it has a pretty conventional plot all things considered, which makes it baffling that the studio has gone on some absurd exaggerated 'spoiler lockdown'.

Knowing this will not even slightly damage your opinion of the film, unless for some reason you feel knowing any basic plot setup is a 'spoiler'. This is a film where the strengths almost entirely lie in how the story is told rather than what the story being told is, so no nothing of importance or significant has been spoiled by divulging this bit of plot setup!

What I don't get is that if you felt it was such a big spoiler and it made you angry so you decide to post it hear and potentially spoil it for other people.

Me too, they show so and so running through a wall sure. Wasn't too miffed though for this, for me Blade Runner isn't so much about the plot as the look and feel. I've been watching the original since I was a child and was transfixed long before I knew what was going on.

Yeah, this is just the story setup. A better secret to keep would have been Harrison Ford's role in the film, but I guess they couldn't resist putting that name on the poster.

Its in a spoiler tag so you cant see it without highlighting the tag, and I wrote "Spoiler warning!" above it, where you referring to me or the 2nd poster who didn't put it in a spoiler tag ?

It's not really a spoiler. You find out within about 5 minutes in to the movie.

If even. It's not a spoiler in the slightest. I didn't know admittedly going in as I didn't watch a single trailer or read anything about it but it's explained/revealed in, literally, the opening scene of the film....there's a further 2h35m odd of film after that fact, so there is nothing to get worked up about :)

As already said, this really isn't a spoiler. But it's not revealed in the marketing so I get why people who haven't seen the film yet might think that it is, so I've added tags to the earlier post that didn't have them.

I think this thread has run its course and there's already a thread for the film, so I'm going to lock it. If anyone thinks it should be re-opened, pm one of us.
