F11 key keeps activating

    Hi guys,
It seems as if the F11 key keeps getting activated on my laptop. Its manifesting itself in two areas only. My chrome browser keeps flickering the full-screen mode on/off which is really distracting. Also, when typing a mail in Outlook 2016, a favorites window keep popping up.
Is there any way at the software\OS level to disable this key so that its ignored? If not, I guess I'll have to take the keyboard out to examine connections and also maybe pop the F11 key off to check there's no dirt or anything underneath - I'm wary of this though as they can be tricky to get back on again.
Just looking for suggestions though before I do any of this

    Thanks

You can use a program called Sharpkeys to disable a key. Download the .msi version. I would back up the registry on an external drive first.

If you have no idea how Sharpkeys works you can read this how2geek article about 3/4 of the way down they discuss disabling a key.
