VOO Dividend Tax

Firstly, I know ETF's have been discussed at length in this forum, however I have used the search function and cannot get any better an answer than what is on revenues website.

Like a lot of people on here I'm sure, I received some dividends on VOO recently. Tax has been withheld by the US on them.

What are my Irish tax obligations with these dividends after the US withholding tax?

Do I fill in a form 11 etc.


Any help appreciated!

If the income is less than €5,000 as a PAYE worker then you do not need to submit a form 11. Declaration of the income can be done using a form 12 at the end of the tax year.
15% of dividends are withheld by the US. You declare the full dividend amount on your return and Revenue assumes the 15% tax already paid.
