Been looking at getting a civic and veering towards the newer face-lift version. However I'm looking for tips and advice as to which to go for specific wise, it was clear pre face-lift that you wanted the panoramic windscreen due to rust on the non version etc. Any known issues, tips etc? Looking at 8-10k to spend

Here's plenty info about differences of pre-facelift and post-facelift models.

Thanks for that, great website! Appears that the issues will be the same post face-lift anyway, think it's the ES spec I'll be after!

Definitely do get ES or higher.
Glass roof makes car interior very nice.
I find the looks of facelift model nicer as well.
As well as 17 inch alloys were nice looking, but probably not ideal if you drive much on country roads in Ireland.
USB and LINE-IN is handy in facelift model...

What year are you looking at? with 8-10k I suppose you should be able to buy 2011. Are you looking for diesel or petrol (1.4 or 1.8)?
    Or maybe Type R?

I am looking for a mk9 civic ex spec with 1.8 petrol and manual and they don't exist on the 2nd hand market in Ireland at least at the moment , there seems to be a lot of 1.4 petrol and 1.6 diesel models around and a few 2.2 diesel models, but no manual 1.8 in any spec

    Go to UK.
    There's plenty.
