Information on Krakow please

I am looking for information from someone who has been to Krakow Poland or knows a lot about it. So i am planning to go on the first week of December with my partner who is 24. We are both 24 and are not interested in the party end of things. We have no interest in night clubs but still would like a nice place that we could have a few drinks.
We really want to go to the auswitch *excuse the spelling* tour. Does this tour run every day? And if so is it hard to get places for it in short notice, for example, if we arrive on Tuesday and we try to book it at our hotel for the Wednesday or thursday?
Also in terms of Christmas markets. I know there is a central Christmas market but does this run every night? Or does it only run on certain nights?
Anywhere around for ice skating/skiing or something fun like that?
    Any good restaurants?
All info would be much appreciated. And I would rather not be posted links for certain websites giving me information because all these sites have different information on them.
    Thank you

In relation to restaurants I'd highly recommend Restauracja Unicus. It's expensive to eat in this restaurant in the evenings but they do a 5 course set lunch menu each day for around €12 per person and it's amazing.

Booking Auschwitz will not be a problem, your hotel will take care of that for you if you don't book in advance. We used a company called KrakowShuttle Team http://krakowshuttle.com/about-us/ and couldn't fault them. Picked up in a people carrier in the morning and brought back in the evening.

For bars check out the old town / Jewish quarter. Nice and chilled but still lively bars.
