Help Finding a (Slightly Older) EPH Controls t27-hw b1238 Unit?

    Hi Guys

Our Eph controls Unit has become defective

Model is Eph controls t27-hw b1238, unit was put in house when it was built about 4 years ago

Plumber has come out with replacement new one and says its not compatible in that our one has 8 inputs wired in and the new one only has 6

They have said they will need to rewire it in some way

I'm trying to see if I can just buy a replacement unit for the one that is there as that seems the easiest option.

Plumber claims the new model is only one available but I'd imagine if this was somthing that was fairly ubiquitous there should be some of the older ones floating around.

Does anyone know where I could look to find one, seem to be very few places to buy online.

    Thanks in advance!

The new EPH 2 zone timer has 8 contact points, did they not bring a new EPH with them?

    Apologies.
Edit: incorrect information based on outdated web information!

Have you tried to fully reset the timer, it usually rectifies issues.

Thanks a million for the reply

I'm not 100% sure what they brought (my wife was there) but they thought it was the newer version of what we had but it only had 6 contact points.

They thought this was the only one available.

Is the wireless new one going to be compatible with older wired thermostats etc and be the same sized box?

    Ok,
So I had to phone EPH about something today and I thought I would get some clarification on your situation.
It turns out that their latest 2 zone does indeed only have 6 Pins and that their web site (link in previous post) has not been up-dated.
There are now 3 versions of two zone timers from EPH, switched live, volt free, and wireless, All are now six pin.
If you already have a 2 zone EPH timer with an 8 pin switched live mounting plate, on the plate you will have small wires bridging from the L pin to two other pins. According to EPH this bridging is now looked after inside the time clock itself.
So on a new six pin you will have the power input over to the left and your two switched live output cables to your thermostats / zone valves over on pins 5 and 6, its a very straightforward conversion.

    hi blobert,
i am sorry to write under this post but it is the only way I've found to contact you.
i saw your old vitz add on adverts and i was wondering if you know the whereabouts of the car currently or who you sold it to as i am a massive fan and collector of vitz's and vitz parts. i would like to buy the car or the kit i would greatly appreciate if you had any knowledge on this.

    thanks vitz :)
