    Hi folks,

Looking at one of these on a bracelet (I'd also consider a Nato strap as I'll probably buy one separate to swap out when wanted or vice versa) with a Pepsi bezel.

There seems to be a few online alright, but a lot of the sites look a bit dodgy.

Has anyone bought via Amazon before?

The 007 is also an option.

I also like the Orient Mako but apparently the Bezel doesn't line up exactly with the 12 O'Clock which would annoy me greatly.

If slight misalignment annoys you then make sure to buy the SKX from somewhere with a good return policy (and geographically practical to return etc).

Because dial & chapter ring misalignment is a common issue with the SKX. I say issue but it's just how they make them, the tolerances are a little bit loose and Seiko consider it within spec. They don't all come out sloppy but it's 1 in X and according to a US dealer I spoke to, X is pretty small. Like single digits.

I might be selling my Orient Mako XL if you're interested.

Still have the box and everything, it's this one below:

I bought mine from these people:

    http://www.watcheszon.com//seiko-mens-automatic-divers-sport-bnib-japan-watch-skx009j1-p-290938/

You can pay a small extra charge to ensure that the parcel originates from the EU; mine came from the Netherlands.

Which reminds me, I need to get that bezel/crystal/hand swap done...

I don't actually like the watch as it comes out of the box but HDMI of this parish has a particularly good mod of one of these and with his help I have the parts to do the same.

Wouldn't be into the orange and the XL is a bit too big for my wrist. Looking to buy new also.

You still haven't got it finished? I think your spending too much time on your new strap company :D:D

Mine will be leaving soon it just doesn't get any wrist time, also funds needed elsewhere at the moment.

IMHO , if you have any interest in genuine watch quality at an affordable price , the seiko skx range is the only starting point. The decision between skx 007 or 009 is simply a colour preference.I have both and have no issue with dial and bezel alignment.Strap choice completely changes the look of the overall watch and nato straps are on eBay from 5euro each.

Look at eBay.com.sg or creationwatches.com to purchase and allow approx. another 40euro for import fees on the purchase .Orient are a lower quality to seiko.

Yes, I know. I still think you're bonkers though. Part of the issue is that I have a number of little projects waiting on the next stage and once they come to fruition they're all going off for attention. The problem is that every time I think I'm ready there's always one more Ebay auction that I need to see if I've won...

I'm looking for an automatic divers watch with a pepsi bezel both affordable and decent quality, the SKX range as far as I can see is the best example of this.

I've no problem changing the straps around from time to time, it's a pity most places have it on a rubber strap. I'd like the proper Seiko bracelet (although I had trouble with a Seiko chronograph I had and swapped it out for a spurious bracelet, so I don't know why I want one)

I think it was the SKA369 which is a pepsi diver but unfortuantely not automatic like OP wants.

It's a very good watch, has solid end-links and drilled lugs. The jubilee that usually comes with the SKX is quite cheap in comparison. seiko-prospex-kinetic-dive-blue-dial-stainless-steel-men_s-watch-ska369.jpg

These guys are totally trustworthy. With Sterling so weak, might be worth a look considering you will be adding roughly 25% on to the creation price

Great spot Birneybau. Just bought the SKX011 from Massdrop at €175.66 delivered.

Straight onto Ebay and picked up the Jubilee bracelet for €11.39 delivered.

    Happy out this Friday :D:D:D

It is. Pulled the trigger, can't afford it at the moment but fúck it. What price can you put on a good watch.

Thanks folks, see you late November when the thing will actually be delivered.

€11 sounds a bit cheap for a legit jubilee.

Not a fan of the jubilee personally, it's a bit 80s/cheap/rattly (folded end link). But at €11 I think you might have got a knock-off with folded links throughout. Will be garbage if that's the case. If it's a legit jubilee then you got a good deal.

I bought from them before and had no issues with customs. You pays your money etc...

Jaysus, tempted to add to the collection.

I've no problem paying it, it's just a pity that it works out at just over the 150 mark which means duty as well as VAT.
